Gaelic mugs

Our range of Scottish Gaelic mugs are made exclusively for us by Glasgow based Scottish banter company Gie It Laldy. (Be sure to check out Lisa’s own site too for her own fabulous range!)

They are classic white mugs with black printing, supplied in a plain white box with Gie It Laldy’s logo & a translation in case the recipent is not a Gaelic speaker.

“Bodach” is the ‘affectionate’ or slightly cheeky Gaelic word for and older man!

“Cailleach” is the ‘affectionate’ or cheeky wee Gaelic word for and older lady!

A “Sgiathanach” is a person from Skye.

A “Sassenach” is a person from the south or from England – not to be confused with a Sgiathanach!!

“Gael” is the term used for a proud Gaelic speaker.
