Visiting us to purchase rings:
If you have looked at our site with a view to come and purchase rings, please be aware of our ‘making to order’ timeframes and / or the timeframe to make sizing adjustments. As we are a small business, we don’t make a stock of different sizes. While planning your visit, please consider taking a few moments to read the information on our delivery / collection page to avoid disappointment and to allow you to plan ahead. We’re always happy to answer questions ahead of your arrival and you are also able to arrange to have rings ready for you when you arrive. Thank you.
Current hours:
We usually open at 9.30am and close at 5.30pm on week days and hope to go back to these slightly extended hours soon. If you will be passing before 10am or after 5pm and this change makes it difficult for you to pop in, please feel welcome to get in touch to see if we can accommodate you. However please be aware that we do a half day on Saturdays throughout the year and we never open on Sundays as we have a very young family.
Jeweller availability:
Please be aware that our owner / jeweller is our only jeweller and may not be available at all times during our advertised opening hours. Sometimes our shop will be open without our jeweller / workshop services being available. This includes services such as watch battery replacements. Please feel welcome to check ahead of arriving. Please also be aware that our jeweller is not always able to leave the workshop to discuss enquiries. Enquiries are often handled by our wee shop team initially.
Closing for lunch:
At times when we are short staffed we will close for lunch from approx 1pm – 2pm. We will always update this page with as much notice as possible but it may sometimes be updated on the day if we have staff absences at short notice. We have a small team so unplanned absences & holidays make a big impact. We NEVER decide to close early or close for a day – we’re dedicated & always stick to our business hours – unless it’s an emergency. We have given an approx time for our lunch hour because if our team members are held up and don’t start their lunch break until, for example, 1.15pm then they won’t re-open until 2.15pm. It’s important to us that they have their full hour break.
Bank holidays:
We don’t change our opening hours for normal bank holidays (other than Christmas & New Year).
Winter:
We are open year round.
If you are planning to visit us to discuss wedding rings or a bespoke piece then it is great if you are able to let us know you’re coming so that we can try to be prepared. Please be aware that we are unable to make an appointment to discuss your enquiry but letting us know will help us out and we really appreciate this. This also means that we can give you an idea of current timeframes for things like bespoke work before you make a trip to see us. If you’re not able to let us know in advance, do feel welcome to just pop in anyway. If you’d like to let us know in advance, please email or send a Facebook message. Before you visit us, you can see information about our workshop services here which includes details on our repair & bespoke work and we have some general timeframe information for our different designs here which is not relevant for anything we have on display in our shop but the same timeframes apply for ordering variations of pieces on display, such as different sizes or stone options.
Open as normal: We’re delighted to now have the shared entrance to our building open (unlocked) following an appointment only arrangement between lockdowns and a ‘ring for entry’ system following the second lockdown. Neither of these systems are in place any longer. We are now open as normal.
We no longer ask that our customers wear masks but we have masks available at our entrance if you wish to wear one. However, we will ask our customers to sanitise before handling our jewellery, before having your ring size measured, or handing your jewellery repairs to us. We have continued to clean all jewellery which has been handled by customers before putting it back on display and to regularly sanitise our hands between serving customers etc.
You will find us on the main road through Broadford, in the same building as Remax Estate Agents and across the road from the Dunollie Hotel.
The entrance to our shop is a shared entrance (same door as Estate Agents).
If you are arriving from the mainland or the Mallaig / Glenelg ferry and you pass the Market Square & Co-op supermarket then you have missed us! Look out for the village hall on the left – we’re just after the hall, also on the left.
If you are visiting us from the North of the island (from Portree or from the Outer Isles / Uig ferry) look out for us just passed the Co-op supermarket & Market Square on the other side of the street.
We have plenty of easy & convenient customer parking behind the building. For those less able, please be aware that the carpark is up a wee hill. There is a roadside parking bay at the front of our shop but unfortunately there is no designated disabled parking on the street and it is sometimes full.
